Liability Coverage

Utah Movers provides limited liability coverage of $0.60 per pound per item for loss or damage caused by our movers.

Reimbursement is based on the weight of the item, not its replacement value.

 

 

Furniture Protection & Padding

Customers are responsible for providing or requesting proper padding, moving blankets, or protective materials for furniture. Utah Movers is not responsible for damage to furniture or items when proper padding or moving blankets were not provided or requested.

If customers want items fully protected, padding and wrapping services must be requested before or at the start of the move.

 

 

Customer Packed Boxes

Utah Movers is not responsible for damage to the contents of boxes packed by the customer. We are only responsible for boxes packed by our movers.

 

 

Particle Board / Ready-to-Assemble Furniture

Items made from:

• Particle board

• Pressboard

• IKEA / ready-to-assemble furniture

are moved at the customer’s risk, and we are not responsible for structural damage to these items.

 

Pre-Existing Damage

Our company is not responsible for pre-existing damage to furniture, property, walls, floors, or items.

Movers may document or photograph existing damage before the move.

 

 

Tight Spaces / Stairs / Difficult Moves

We are not responsible for damage caused when moving items through tight spaces, stairways, doorways, or difficult access areas where proper clearance is limited. Customers may request items not be moved if concerned about damage.

 

 

Heavy Items

Heavy items include but are not limited to:

• Safes

• Large appliances

• Items over 300 lbs

These items may require additional fees and specialized equipment.
We are not responsible for internal or mechanical damage to these items.

 

 

Truck Rental Responsibility

If the truck is rented in the customer’s name:​

• Customer is responsible for fuel

• Customer is responsible for rental insurance

• Customer must add our driver as an authorized driver if we drive the truck

Our company provides labor and moving services only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due immediately upon completion of the move. Late payments will be subject to a $20 dollar fine per day.

• Hourly jobs may have a minimum time requirement.

 

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations within 24 hours of the move may be subject to a $20 cancellation fee.

• Same-day cancellations may be charged a minimum service fee of $40.
